Dysphagia is defined as difficulty or inability to swallow safely and effectively. Dysphagia can be related to liquids, solids, or both, and can occur due to illness, surgery, or cancer treatments. It is sometimes accompanied by pain (called odynophagia). Once the oncological treatment has been completed, there is rehabilitation treatment to improve swallowing in case it persists over time. Whenever this difficulty appears, it is essential to inform the medical team.
